The hotel embraces a rustic French Manor House style, and my room was spacious with good air conditioning, creating a comfortable environment. A lovely courtyard gave us access to the outdoor swimming pool, albeit the pool area felt a bit neglected - not quite the vibrant oasis one expects. The dining experience at the restaurant was surprisingly good value for the quality offered, with a children's menu available too. The hospitality was a mixed bag; while our host was welcoming, other staff members lacked enthusiasm. One standout was Alfred, whose friendliness brightened our stay. Riebeek Kasteel is a charming little town with a handful of good restaurants, making it a good stopover. While the hotel shows signs of wear in places, its spacious rooms and value in dining make it a reasonable choice for travelers seeking a laid-back getaway. Not extravagant, yet offers a comfortable ambiance for the price.
